Things like streaks for daily activity, comparing your progress against friends and similar users, and in-app rewards for completing activities all drive DuoLingo users to create some of the highest engagement for any modern app. Even if you don’t have a technical product or prowess of a Silicon Valley unicorn, you can do simple notifications or follow-ups that encourage more progress and link it to incentives. You can also use the social proof on your website to show potential customers that other people have used and enjoyed your product or service.

Tip #3: Make it Shareable

Make sure that your certificates and achievements are shareable on social media. This is particularly true when your customer will feel like they have accomplished something by using your product or service. Things like personalized certificates and progress badges are great examples of things that can be easily posted to social media or saved to share with friends and family. This has the bonus benefit of increasing the reach of your product or service by raising brand awareness to your customers social network as well as creating more engagement from your existing customers. You can also use social media to offer discounts and giveaways for those who might have seen the shared award. This is a great way to increase the value of your product or service, create more engagement from your customers, and grow your brand to attract new customers.
